Creation of incentive campaigns and New Gnars’s merch and onboarding media: 12 videos, 9 articles, 9 newsletter, 9 lives, 3 press releases and 1 banner to onboard members to GnarsDAO, all content in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Following our previous successful proposal, our initiative involves producing onboarding content available in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Refer to our campaign report article on Surfhive and banner performance for insights. We will also create an incentive mechanism to improve our retaining rate during the onboarding process. Connect with ocean influencers in the community and new members to spread the Shred to earn narrative on social media. Renew Gnars merch on Surfguru’s online store and make it more accessible to the community.
Despite GnarsDAO's achievements and growth, there remains a significant need for educational resources on joining Gnars. We aim to bridge this gap by explaining what GnarsDAO is, its operational dynamics, current objectives, and guidelines for participation and proposal submissions.
We also believe that free online educational content is a Public Good, especially when it comes to onboarding. In order to bring a million shredders onchain, it is also important to create content and incentive mechanisms that allows them to join our community and shred with us.
Surfguru, Brazil's largest wave forecast website and online surfing community with over 300k unique users, presents its second proposal a continuation of our initial Educational Campaign with some onboarding mechanisms.
Our team comprises active GnarsDAO members: Mari: Gnars Athlete, GnarsDAO Board Member and Discord Admin, Noggles Designer (DCS Recycled Plastic Noggles and LilSisters First 3D Print CC0 Noggles file), Nounified TPM, Surfguru partner, managed Surfguru first educational campaign, SurfguruDAO co-founder, and represented GnarsDAO at NFT Brasil. Luizhadad: Gnars Athlete and Surfguru partner. Dropped the first Surfing NFT on That's Gnarly. Represented Gnars in conferences like Ethereum Rio and NFT Brasil. Pod-community member. Collaborated to build the Shredders Journey. Críscia: surf photographer and videomaker responsible for video content and report on Surfhive from Surfguru’s first campaign, an active member in Gnars Discord and Thatsgnar.ly, posting articles on Surfhive, and hosting weekly community meetings on Google Meet.

All media creation will go through brainstorming sessions with community members to understand how we can engage further with them.
All videos will be formatted for vertical and horizontal viewing and shared on Gnars and Surfguru's social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, X, Thatsgnarly). Articles will be published on SurfHive, Surfguru's website, and in press releases.
Based on our previous experience with Zima Airdrop, our most successful onboarding case, we suggest having a video tutorial teaching how to exchange Hive tokens for Ethereum / Matic.
The flow we imagine is: onboarded shredders join SurfHive /SkateHive and earn hive tokens. They can exchange their tokens for MATIC or ETH and interact with the Gnars ecosystem. They can use MATIC/ ETH to purchase Gnars NFTs, mint content on ThatsGnarly or Zora, and interact more with the Gnars community. We believe that this could have a nice flywheel effect into engagement and the shred to earn vibe.
We will engage with 11 ocean shredders that have already participated in our ecosystem through That'sGnarly and pay them $100 each to create a video talking their experience shredding to earn rewards in the Gnars ecosystem, and post on their social media (SurfHive, Instagram, Twitter and Tiktok). We will send them a Gnarly kit with t-shirts, cap stickers and Precious Noggles.
Our selected shredders are: João Parmigiani, Gabriel Sodré, Luiza Coutinho, Bernardo Nassar, Lucas Rocha, Gabriel Sampaio, Moisés Base, Niko Carolla, Ricky Day, Sunny Pires and Criscia Cesconetto.
Every month Surfguru will produce a live on instagram or x with Luiz Hadad as the host, inviting community members to join, talk about their experiences on Gnars, telling people why they should support our community, join the gnars auction, and answer general questions. Over 9 months it will be 9 lives/spaces on X and/or on instagram.
We will also write two press releases to the broader media telling the story about Gnars and the impact that the DAO is causing by supporting shredders and funding public goods. This will ensure that the campaign has a broader reach than only the surfing community.
Surfguru will display a new Gnars banner throughout the 9-month period, send a comprehensive newsletter about the onboarding campaign to its users at the campaign's end, and publish a final report article.
We will spread the word about the benefits of being a GnarsDAO holder: free access to Surfguru PRO, access to coworking spaces, discounts on selected partners.
Surfguru also created a Gnars Store that will get new merch of community members artists. 50% of the profits from the Gnars Store will be returned to the DAO treasury - we will measure the results every 6 months.
