We are requesting $2,700 USDC or 1 ETH to support the logistics, health and safety measures, and the creation of the Nouns Halfpipe for our skateboarding showcase. We have already invested $500 of our own funds into the prize pool.

BluntDAO is seeking a partnership with GNARS DAO for the Blunt Olympics in Bangkok, taking place during DevCon in November 2024. Rather than a traditional sponsorship approach, our aim is to co-create a collaborative environment where we can showcase innovative applications of web3 technology and community engagement. This event will blend action sports, health tech, and cannabis culture, but more importantly, it will serve as a living experiment for decentralized community-building and athlete engagement. We propose a sponsorship of $2,500 USDC or 1 ETH to support the event’s logistics, health and safety measures, and the creation of the Nouns Halfpipe for the skateboarding showcase.

Why This is a Collaborative Space, Not Just Sponsorship

Creating a Unique Space for Web3 Experimentation: We want GNARS DAO to be directly involved in building out this experimental space, contributing to more than just a logo or a mention. The Blunt Olympics is an opportunity to collaborate and experiment with decentralized athlete engagement, health tracking, and meaningful IRL community-building. Our vision is to provide a platform where GNARS DAO members can actively participate, run onboarding sessions, host skate showcases, and contribute to the event’s development.

Integrating GNARS into the Event:

• Interactive Onboarding Sessions: We will set up a dedicated onboarding area to introduce attendees to GNARS and guide them through joining the community or acquiring their first GNARS NFT.

• Skateboarding Showcase & Judging Panel: GNARS members can serve as judges for the skate events, run demos, and highlight their skating skills.

• Creating the Nouns Halfpipe: By helping build and design the Nouns Halfpipe, GNARS will leave a lasting mark on the event, showcasing how decentralized communities can come together to build physical spaces for action sports.(will be donated to the local skate community in Bangkok)

• Collaborative Content Creation: We can co-create documentary-style content that captures GNARS’ hands-on involvement in the event, focusing on community-driven participation rather than brand exposure

• Giving away GNARS NFT’s for winners and during the lottery phase of the event. Using zora to to create an exclusive mint to profit share.

Overview BluntDAO is an innovative and vibrant decentralized web3 community, renowned for its unique approach to onboarding newcomers to blockchain through the concept of "Proof of Sesh" and the reup funding mechanism. We are excited to announce the inaugural Blunt Olympics, taking place in Thailand between TOken 2049 and DevCon as part of a series of popup cities.This event will blend competition, culture, and technology in a celebration of the cannabis community.

In Thailand, cannabis for recreational use is currently legal. However, the government has plans to make it illegal by the end of 2024. That’s what makes this a unique opportunity, blow out Q4 and Bangkok with a blast!

Location: Chiang Mai (Olympic trials and training grounds) and Bangkok (main event) Dates: Chiang Mai Training Grounds on 10/17 (with weekly Friday 4:20 touch grass meetups)

BluntDAO Olympic Village will run from November 11-16, with DevCon taking place from November 12-15

Unique Aspects of BluntDAO The Olympic village houses will be separated into a Tech House & the “Fiesta” House to give people dedicated spaces to conduct business and play.

Proof of Sesh: When you smoke with someone in BluntDAO, they become an OG validator. That person can then onboard anyone else into BluntDAO, continuing the cycle.
